grafted fruit treesHere we have a video tour of our stock orchard containing apple, pear, cherry and plum varieties. There are over 100 different varieties and the orchard gives us opportunity to see how each performs. We are constantly adding and trialling new varieties, we only add the most successful and productive trees to our production. Every year around late January and early February we use these fruit trees to harvest material for our annual grafting production.

A side benefit of the stock orchard is the copious amounts of fruit we get each year. The produce from the stock orchard is used for cider making, preserves, jams and apple sauce. Nothing is wasted and even our pigs get a look in with the fruit falls.

We also have beehives nearby which are very beneficial for the pollination and produce our own honey.

Each year in late September we display a massive selection of our fruit in the garden centre for Apple Day all of which can be sampled.
